Privacy notice
Last updated 10 October 2026
This explains what I collect when you book a journey, why, how long I keep it, and your rights. It takes about two minutes to read.
Who I am
Navigo Transport is run by me, Bozhidar Valchev, a private hire operator licensed by Portsmouth City Council. I decide how your information is used, so in law I am the data controller. For anything in this notice, email hello@gonavigo.co.uk or call or WhatsApp 07438 714406.
What I collect
- Your name and phone number.
- Your pickup and drop-off addresses, the date and time, and how many passengers and bags.
- Your flight number or sailing, if you give it, so I can check for delays.
- Anything you add in the notes, for example that you travel with an assistance dog or need help with your bags. Some of this can be health information, and I only use it to plan your journey.
- Payment details are handled by the card terminal or the payment provider, not by me. I see that you paid, not your card number. For a bank transfer, my bank shows me the name on the paying account.
Why I use it
- To book and carry out your journey. The law calls this performing a contract.
- To keep the booking record my licence requires. Portsmouth City Council requires me to record each booking (including your name, phone number, pickup time and address, and destination), keep it for 12 months and show it to them if asked. This is a legal obligation.
- To keep accounts and tax records, as HMRC requires. Also a legal obligation.
- Health information in your notes is used only with your agreement, to plan your journey. You can withdraw that agreement at any time.
I never sell your information, and I never use it for marketing without asking you first.
Who else sees it
- WhatsApp (Meta), Gmail (Google) or my phone network, depending on how you contact me. Email to hello@gonavigo.co.uk passes through Cloudflare Email Routing on its way to my inbox.
- The payment provider behind a deposit link, and my bank.
- Portsmouth City Council, if they inspect my booking records.
- My accountant and HMRC, for tax.
- Another licensed private hire operator, only if your journey is passed to them, and only what they need to carry it out.
Some of these companies store information outside the UK, under the safeguards UK law requires.
How long I keep it
- Booking records: 12 months, as my licence requires, then deleted.
- Payment and tax records: as long as HMRC requires, normally 5 years after the 31 January filing deadline for that tax year.
- Messages and emails: no longer than the booking record, unless I need them to settle a dispute.
This website
- No tracking cookies and no adverts. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.
- Nothing you type on the journey page is sent anywhere until you choose to send it to me on WhatsApp. So you don't have to type it twice, your journey details are kept in your browser for this visit only (session storage), and they are gone when you close the tab.
- The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which keeps short technical logs to keep it secure.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you the information I hold about you, correct it, delete it (unless the law says I must keep it, like the booking record), limit or stop how I use it, or give it to you in a format you can take elsewhere. Email or WhatsApp me and I will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your information, please tell me first. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

If this notice changes, I will update the date at the top.
